This privacy policy explains what information the Matchtics app collects, how it is used and what choices you have. By using Matchtics you agree to what is described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, your name if you provide it, your app language and your device's time zone. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and provider ID; if Apple shares your name on first sign-in, it is saved too.
- Your match list and notes: the matches you save, the notes you write for them, your post-match reviews, the teams and leagues you follow and your notification preferences.
- AI usage: the matches you unlock AI analysis for and the number of questions you ask on them (to manage credits).
- Credits and purchases: your credit balance, credit history and the transaction ID provided by the store. Your card or payment details never reach us; payments are handled by Apple or Google.
- Device information: if you allow notifications, a device token, your platform and app version so we can send them.
- Advertising information: your device's advertising ID and your consent choice, used to show ads (see Ads below).
2. How we use your information
- To create your account, email you a sign-in code and keep you signed in.
- To show your match list, notes and follows, and to show kick-off times in your own time zone.
- To send notifications for matches in your list and teams you follow (line-ups, key absences, coach changes, match reminders).
- To manage credits and purchases.
- To keep the app secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
3. Artificial intelligence
AI analysis and the AI assistant use Google's Gemini service. When you request an analysis or ask a question, only that match's data (such as standings, recent results, squads and absences) and the question you typed are sent to Gemini. Your email address, name and notes are never sent. Nothing is sent unless you ask for it.
Questions you type yourself are not stored on our servers once the answer is produced. Answers to suggested questions and match analyses are stored per match and language, independent of any person, so other users opening the same match see the same text. These texts are deleted shortly after the match ends. Data sent is not used to train models.
4. Nature of the analysis
Probabilities, analyses and AI answers in Matchtics are assessments based on historical data; they are not certain and do not guarantee any outcome. They are not advice of any kind. Match data comes from a third-party provider (API-Football) and may be incomplete or delayed. You are responsible for any decision you make based on information in the app.
5. Ads
Matchtics shows banner ads through Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form is shown before ads start; on iOS, app tracking permission is also requested. If you do not consent, only non-personalised ads are shown. Buying credits does not remove ads.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the services the app needs to work:
- Google: Gemini (AI analysis), AdMob (ads), Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications), Sign in with Google.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases and notifications.
- Adapty: verification of in-app purchases.
- Email delivery service: sending sign-in codes.
Match data is obtained from API-Football; no information about you is sent to this provider.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections and restricted access to protect your data. Still, no transmission over the internet is completely secure.
8. Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is open; notifications are deleted automatically after 60 days. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account). This permanently deletes your match list, notes, reviews, follows, notifications, preferences and device records, and removes your email address and name from the account. Purchase and credit records are kept in de-identified form to meet legal obligations and handle refunds.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing and receive a copy of it. Write to us at the address below for any of these requests.
10. Children
Matchtics is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the European Union) and does not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page and the date above is updated.
